The North Walsham and Dilham canal was an extension of the River Ant navigation. It last saw revenue traffic in 1935 after a life of 109 years. Never in profit in its life, many extant features still remain. The only canal in Norfolk with a set of locks, these were necessary to raise the navigation by 48 feet on its journey to Antingham Basin at the head of the canal. All pictures taken in 2007.
