This picture is taken from an occupation brdige near Antingham to the north of North Walsham Flooding at Whitlingham Junction on 9th November 2007. All service suspended! This picture is at 13.00 Same view, flooding has started to recede, taken at 14.45 paddling up to Whitlingham Level Crossing, this is normally a dirt track. Viewed through the footbridge iron lattice work.

Taken between 1985 and the present day. This train was associated for many years with class 37s but has seen 47s and 58s as booked motive power together with a brief period of pairs of 37s. It is now well and truly booked for a 66 along with everything else it seems. I've dug out a few black and whites from the late 80s and early 90s along with soem recent digital snaps. Somewhere I have loads of slides and B&W photos of the period covering the early 90s to the digital era. When I find them I'll add them. 37048 waits to depart North Walsham. The old set up at North Walsham involved reversing back into the station if the tanks loaded up on the loading track next to the station. If they loaded up on the far track they could do the token themselves and depart direct from the terminal. For a brief period before bogied tanks were introduced 2 trains a day ran resulting in later departures. A sunset view at Caistor St.Edmund Passing Sloely between Worstead and Wroxham Just to the north of Tunstead. Passing alongside the River Yare on the approach to Norwich At Brantham. April 2007 Heading off towards Wroxham The dead straight line from North Walsham to Westwick is clear in this view On the GEML at Forncett. The lane to the left is the trackbed of the former line from Wymondham Worstead still retains plenty of GE character This is the ealriest (semi decent) picture I can find that I took of the tanks. Prior to 1986, the tanks reversed in Norwich Yard. 37088 12th March 1985 The token excahnge at Wroxham in 1991 December 1988 and a brief rare appearance of unrefurbished 31124 and 31152 at Trowse Jn. 37247 crossing the old Trowse Swing Bridge in 1986 with the new one being constructed in the foreground Blizzard conditions with 47096 in charge 37216 at Whitlingham Jn in 1986 37140 was not exactly going to pass any emissions test! One cloud of black smoke is followed by another as the driver opens up the second the token is received!

Yarmouth Blackburn Charter with the Cargo D set runs alongside the River Yare just outside Norwich 9005 on 18.00 Norwich Liverpool St Rare appearance of a loco on the North end of a train on the GEML. It is, however, an ecs working. The 20.00 Norwich - Liverpool St A planned going away shot, honest. Tangmere crossing Harford viaduct on its way to Liverpool St, 5th May On the 16.15 Wymondham Dereham at Crownthorpe. A small gallery of photters is in the usual spot to the right. The rape brightens up an otherwise drab scene!

It last saw revenue traffic in 1935 after a life of 109 years. Never in profit in its life, many extant features still remain. The only canal in Norfolk with a set of locks, these were necessary to raise the navigation by 48 feet on its journey to Antingham Basin at the head of the canal. All pictures taken in 2007. B1 crossing Oulton Broad Swing Bridge 33025 working hard to climb the 1 in 80 gradient away from Whitlingham Junction. 33025 bringing the stock into Norwich Spectators look on at Norwich. Spot the tresspasser! who is this fool? just inches from death, Nigel Harris will have sleepless nights worrying about this major breach of security. 33025 at Cromer awaiting departure at 19.29 30/4/06 For the first time since June 1985 when 47581 and 47582 worked the VSOE, a diesel locomotive and stock awaits to depart Cromer. A suitably expereinced gallery of bashers looks on. The old M&GN box and displaced semaphores still remain. 1000 offers every week! Morrisons now occupies the old yard at Cromer Beach. Both the Norwich and Sheringham lines are set to green, not a daily event at Cromer these days.
